I'm looking for the 3rd brake light, that goes on the inside of the hatch glass. Not the one thats on the spoiler. If anyone knows of one thats laying around, or see's one at a junk yard somewhere, could you please pick it up for me or let me know how much you want for it. Thanks so much. smile.gif
Oh yeah...or if anyone works for a dealer and can get a good price for a brand new one, that works also. smile.gif

Get me the part number from the ID sheets here at the DIY section, and I'll get you a price.

Bullfrog & Redz...thanks for the help. The only thing however, the part sheet says 97-99 Tib. And by looking at the image of that 3rd brake light, it doesnt quite look the same. It looks alot smaller than the one for the RD2. I dont want to buy a brand new one (by going off that part sheet) without knowing 110% fact that its the right one and fits an RD2. If anyone can confirm that they are identical (even it doesnt look it), then cool...I'll get it.

I think its a typo in the book. If you look at the other pages, the tops say 00-01, they line up to the index that shows the page numbers. The page with the rear light is the only one that had 97-99 but the index page for the 00-01 shows it to be the right page number.

I'm closing this if you ask again. Bullfrog already gave you your answer. It only says 1997-1999 at the top because that was the last page of the 2000-2001 and it started on the 1997-1999 section. Their page layout only allowed for one or the other and so to make sure people saw that the 1997-1999 began there they chose to title it 1997-1999.
Look at the rear bumper on the second column and the the taillight on the first column for more proof. Thanks!

Right, but like I said in my earlier post also...I dont want to order the brake light without knowing 100% fact that the part number is the right one. If I go by just the pic on that part list, I'll end up getting the wrong one since it different compared to an RD2. So I want to verify one of these 2 things:
1. The part number is the right one for an RD2, but the pic is wrong
OR
2. The part number is the wrong one completely for an RD2, and the right part number is out there somewhere
THATS why I asked in my last post. Sheesh... laugh.gif

A quick call to your local dealer's parts counter should be able to clear that up for you. You may find that a new one from the dealer isn't even too costly.
