I just installed the 1.8 ecu in my car and (i think because I am rev A with an rd2 motor) it is giving me some weird bogging + idle issues.
I want to try an RD2 2.0 ECU and see if it will correct my problem, because I don't want to put my old rev a ecu back in my car..and I do have an 00 motor..
Looking for a cheap one, possibily someone who has upgraded to the 1.8? If it works for me, I'll cut you a deal on my 1.8 ecu (23940, the "best" one) if you don't have one.
Thanks

I got one for a 2.0 Beta 1 motor out of my 98. I'll get the serial number tomorrow, but I responded to your ECU thread as well, we are in the same boat. Lemme know if you want to and shoot me a price.
I have an RD2 canadian spec 2.0 ECU. It was bought of Gary some time ago now and I can not put it on my car due to different car spec. We can trade in if you have or can get something I could be interested.

Blizaga, I think the RD2 ones might be different. I swapped back to my current ECU (but I am Rev A) and it fixed my problems.
Now I'm trying to see if I get a 2.0 RD2 ECU if it will make my idle issues go away, but keep my gas mileage up (I have read that the Rev A ECUs run even richer than the others, so they suck for mileage). I do have a 2001 RD2 engine in my car.
Will a Canadian spec work for me?

I have a 2001 US spec RD2. I've been wanting to do the 1.8 ECU swap. If you have the "best one" I'd be interested in a trade. We could trade straight up, but we'd have to make sure they were in the mail at the same time so I'm not without a car for an extended period.

I've got one sitting in my RD2. I can send it to you, if it fixes your problem send me the 1.8. If not, just send it back. I am running with the Haltech so I do not have any issues not having the ECU in the car.
Zoned just incase you dont have 1 yet I still have my 2.0, and its a Rev-A like yours. I have no need for it and it was stock so like 10 +ship or maybe even cheaper IDK. BUt yeah if you dont have 1 yet let me know. fing02.gif
