Am looking for pair of headlights for my 99. What I want to to, is try removing the chrome plating, and Paint it either Body color (current of future gunmetal), or have it Painted black. I don't want to use my own, incase I f*** up..

Not too many Wrecking yards here in Southern ontario have a wrecked tiburon.. So, if you can get your hands on a pair, please let me know.

btw, i know this is offtopic, but wouldn't know where to put it.. maybe exterior.. I also want to make a mold of the headlight, and reproduce the glass/plastic.. without!! the lines in the running lights.. any suggestions?

 

I know someone that is selling a set of Korean Glass Headlights. If you want them, let me know.

well, it wouild seem that HA.com, is doing some reconstruction i believe.. I finally got my work bonus and i wanna spend it all in 1 spot, at 1 time..

You said, they look the same Redz but shinier.. Can, you explain the shiny part(excuse me I am going on 18 hours no sleep).. Does it have the markings(cross hair pattern), on the DTRL?

Cause I remeber back to my model car days, there is a procedure that allows you to clear scratches in plastic. So, my thought was to gently dremel those cross hair pattern off, then do that process to a clearness like a umm.. something clear, and paint the inner bezel dark grey or something. But if Kspec.com or HA can get them.. perfect!!

 

Kspec can get them. The pics on HA.com should show you what they look like and the difference in lighting.

 

my my what's this about painting headlight housing? I did it on my protege5, and I know tons of others who have on proteges and the 3rd gen altimas. It looks AMAZING in person, pictures don't do it justice. I registered on this board because my friend has a 1st gen tiburon and I was wondering if anyone had done this, I bet it would look pretty nice and would definitely mix things up a bit.

 

when i get my haloz im gonna do clear corners and paint a small trim around my 2000 tib's headlites, ill post pics when its done but i gotta wait till i get paid

 

I am actually going to be painting mine black tomorrow. I did it to my Kia Sephia last year and it is still holding up well.
