John, do you have your parts now then?

 

The center consoles look different on the the first and second gens but they still fit the same. It's just a different design to it. I replaced my second gen console with a first gen console because I liked the look of it better.

Bottom line: You can replace the console without having any fitment problems

 

I forgot to mention that I have the 2nd gen console parts if your interested. Are you looking to just painting them or replacing your beat up parts?

 

i prefer the 2nd gen, i want it to be as new as possible, i painted mine and dont like the look. i just want it to be stock black. and my lid came off too. just want to replace it. send pics if u have it
