I cant really say if this will work for your ecu unless you can confirm the way it triggers the coils. Can you contact the manufacturer for more on this? Some ecus have the pull up resistor built in and some, like to megasquirt, need it added. One example is the microsquirt, it has the pull ups built in but no coil ignighters.

After reading that thread, it looks like time for someone who cares to email Dennis

I already contacted him, and tried the ignition control box he mentions that give functionality to the smt6, and it didn't work with the emanage.

It will be interesting to hear if Dennis knows of an easy way to modify his previous circuit to work with the emanage. It seems like there's a level-shifting problem in the circuit that would be easy to solve, provided an electrical engineer with some spare time on his hands.

im sure dennis would be able to help you out in someway, but thats probably one of the only people i know of. i don't even think there has been one person to do this and if they have, they probably aren't around still (t4turbotiburon) and dennis would need to have an emanage there with him im pretty sure to figure it out. then you will be paying for his time + the mod to have an emanage with functionality for mucho $$$.

yeah, i'm going to call him on monday and find out what he can do for me. when i talked to him before he said that "theoretically" the ignition box for the smt6/8 should work, so i purchased said box and nope, didn't do anything but blink pretty lights. rewired it 4 times before i gave up on it....

thanks guys. if nothing else i'll sell the emanage and go a different route

The Stock ECU is near impposible here in the states. Just the way it's programed. Best bet is a mega squirt setup or a AEM. Piggy backs just don't do much for the cost.
