Looks like a proper fix would be to find a 2000/2001 and do a front end conversion. All the parts that are needed would make it happen.

 

i sell you my entire rd2 for 1000 bucks with an extra motor/tranny.



if not i have an extra set of fenders if you wanna buy em. i'm in columbus so save yourself the shipping i think i might still have the support, i have the corner light but my extra bumper and headlight is for rd2

 

Good idea since all the tibs in boneyards locally are rd2, however I prefer the look of the rd1. If absoluty necessary I will do this.

Does it still run? How much for the other parts?

 

The RD was a young man's car. Young men drive too fast and tailgate. All RDs die from rear-ending someone else.

 

This was not the case with me. I had my daughter it the car. The guy I hit failed to properly use turn signals and swerved in front of me to get in the gas station. Then he came to a complete stop with his back end sticking in the road. Tiburon meets Mr. Trailer hitch.

 

yes it runs and drives but not very well (would easily get you home and back two times over) honestly there is something up with the TPS or idle because when you give it large throttle openings at low/mid rpms it just stumbles on itself for a min before it actually goes. (if you let off gas it stops and you can then accelerate normally)



but in any case i'll give you another engine/tranny/clutch/ 2 extra fenders/ blinkers/ headlights plus all the aftermarket stuff on the car. onlything you CAN NOT HAVE is the bbk.



it has CAI, altierHP TB, full exhaust (under axle),factory tuned strut bar, lightweight flywheel, a/c and p/s deletes. i could even throw in a set of 17inch rims for another 100 bucks.



nomatter what you do this is gonna be your best/cheapest bet to get it together. i doubt i'm going to find another rd2 thats worth building anyways.





single parts:

$100 for both fenders

$25 for pass blinker

$50 for the support (gotta look for it cause i think i might have thrown it out at some point.)

If you buy that rd2 I have an extremely rare front lip for it and cheap!!!
