Default Re: Best Cheap OEM Mod Yet... *Teaser*

I'm looking for a cheep OEM ecu from a tib or a elantra, it makes no difference if its a 1.8 or 2.0 as long as the plug on it is the same as my '01 tib, it does not have to be a working item as long as it looks in good shape from the outside I don't care about the electronics on the inside since the will be ripped apart anyway.

Well I'm gonna be installing a standalone ecu soon and wanna be able to pass inspection, I have a perfect power prs-8 and it will work with all the stock sensors and wiring but I don't wanna cut the plug from the factory ecu harness or run a million new wires. I wanna take a factory ecu and gut it out so I can mount and wire the standalone straight to it so I can just unplug the stock ecu and then plug the standalone right into the factory harness and when it comes time for inspection I can just plug the stock ecu right in and stick in the stock injectors for a day or two untill the inspection is over plus it would be nice to have a backup system in case the standakone burns out 200mile away from my house. I think it should work.....

edit: oh yeah, I really wouldnt have to ship it. I could just hand it to you, its in Deer Park. So make it $40.

Dang they really inspect it hard. All they did with mine was make sure i had vin code right and look at my engine they didnt give a crap about anything.

every once in awhile they will have them on ebay. here you go.
