Really I'd just say go to a junkyard and pull one, you can get it out of any tib/elantra and it's easy to get to. I got one that way when I needed it, they didn't even charge me for it.

Or go to any auto parts store and tell them you need a c-spring clip. Look in the 'HELP' section of any auto store, you'll find boxes of tthem.

I know exactly what you're talking about, I lost one myself once upon a time too, and couldn't find any place that had exactly what I needed. You can easily build a retaining clip out of a washer though.

Here's what I did..
Find a washer that is the same thickness/diameter (bring the other C clip in the hardware store with you)
Use a tin snip to cut it to the shape you need

Take the other E-clip to the hardware store and match it up. You'll need to find an Ace or True Value. Home Depot and Lowes don't usually have them.

we have a true value here in town. The awesomest place to find nuts and bolts. They have had everything I'd ever been looking for and have great service. Lowes is a joke if you don't know what you want and where it's at in the store.
