I dont know nor have i read if theres any differences in the rd to rd2 ECU and the ECM harness for the 2.0L. i know that it will be a good idea to get one tho. so i can wire the emanage stuff to it, and then install everything and have an extra ECU if something goes wrong. I know there are some guys who got the 1.8L ECU to replace the 2.0L ECU so i know someone has one. please post ASAP cuz i am starting this project within the next couple weeks. throw up what u want for it.. if the price is right i can paypal ASAP. i am verified. Thanks guys
will it matter if its for an automatic or manual. i dont know help me out.

That just made me think that you could wire it to the ecu. That might be easier. Once you open the ecu there are bare metal connectors from each pin to the board. it might be easier to saulder it to the metal pins than doing it under the dash.
I might have to try it since I now have an extra 2.0l ecu. Might just cur a hole in the ecu case for the wires to exit.

I've got my spare but I'm keeping it man, same reasons.
I got an extra ECU harness and about a foot of wiring from TC, I'm going to get a second ECU and patch my SMT6 when I get it into the back of the ecu pinout, then put the ECU harness on there to hook up to the 1.8L ECU.
Should work well and no crimping or anything required.
