What would you like to see CNK make?

I would like to know if there is anyway to remedy the problem of grinding between 1st and 2nd gear when powershifting. I don't want to hear "shift nicer". Is there something that can be done to the synchros??? This is definitely a product or solution that I would be interested in! I just have a horrible feeling that my synchro ain't too happy right now and I'm trying to put it off until I'm ready to do the turbo project to the destroked beta2 with a "new" tranny (freshly pulled out of something wrecked and I'll rebuild it) then when I got the swank motor and tranny swapped into my car I'm gonna rebuild what's in it now. I shutter to think of what that synchro will look like when I crack it open. So Chris, if you have any ideas let me know!!!

Um, I don't grind on the 1-2 shift while powershifting rolleyes.gif ...so shift nicer! tongue.gif

Pistons that can take more than 300hp would be nice, not sure how strong the stock valvetrain components are on a 2001 Beta II, but better springs and valves would be cool, a set of camzs for turbo applications, um lemme see...

I will take a few more pics of the twin turbo setup when i can get hold of the customer who owns it -- I will post the pictures then.

Shifting problems ... oops - have you got a short shifter installed? This sometimes helps, and also a clutch adjustment also helps.... thats if the synchro's aren't already screwed!!

Other than that --- SHIFT NICELY DAMMIT lol

Hey, there's a good one.

Make a short shifter Chris.

There's only a few on the market and 2 of them aren't that great.

Russ-

I got CNK turbo with all the bells and whistles pushing 240WHP+- @0.7 bar boost which I am VERY proud of
I still Have the standard Gearbox (5spd) and it was recon'd once because of 4th to 5th grinding, at 90 000 Km's and have since done 110 000Km's on it and now done 20 000 Almost K's on it with the turbo. shifting like a MO FO evil_gri so altogether I have done 230 000Km's + in my car without a hitch and only now is my gearbox straining abit between 2nd and 3rd...slight grind but bearable and also only at 5000RPM + ...
Also I snap change EVRY gear when in a race, the car sounds like a superbike taking off at the start of a race!! evil_gri
SO...what you hear about Hyundai gearboxes being soft is not entirely true...They ARE strong!! poke
Shift away bud! I also find that the clutch on th 2.0 beta is a pull clutch and if not fitted and set correctly, it will tend to grind gears ...
Also check your clutch fluid level...may be low rolleyes.gif
if this doesnt help then recon your gearbox or get a new one.

Well, they have them listed. But you can't get them anywhere. And I mean ANYWHERE. The one site left that had them no longer has them on their webpage.
