Re: Speed Factor SS Equal Length Turbo Manifold GB
I just got my kit in today. Everything looks great. I just have one question though. For an 01 Tiburon do you need to use the spacer on the flywheel or is it not needed?

Re: WTF is wrong with my car
the spacer is there to math the flywheel to the crankshaft,
in your case the spacer shoul be needed
you'll be a 100% sure when you'll install your new parts ;-)

Re: exhaust sound clips
simple:
97 to 07-99 have a 41mm crank pilot
07-99 and up have a 35 mm crank pilot
the crank pilot is what is centering your flywheel on the crank
so if your in doubt, just take out a ruler to measure it or simply just try to put the spacer on your crank, if it fits then it's needed

Thanks for answering all those questions.
I have to ask VHR in order to get right answer, since I never installed anything of my own.
It would of took me longer to post any reply...

Hey Rick, just checking to see if you have had a chance to check with VHR on wether the spacer would be needed for Gen2's.
I have seen the same thing that Denisst wrote about the 35mm crank pilot being on the 07/99 and up if that helps out at all. I just want to be sure one way or the other before I go and start taking things apart.

Anything beyond RD2 will need spacer.
The model year is somewhat hard to determine, since Korea release the car sooner than oversea.
RD1 was released in Korea 96, and I saw the car back in 95 at Hyundai Nam Yang Man R&D proofing ground testing suspension.

if you have a 2001 tibby you need the spacer for sure
one thing i'd like to add,
in my case, fidenza aluminium flywheel (for 99 and lower) and a 2001 engine i needed the spacer, problem was, bolts were too short, tread engagement was very minimal (around 1/8"),so i had to use longuer flywheel bolts
i haven't verified if it's the case with the VHR flywheel,it could be thinner in the bolt area,
so be sure to double check that better be safe then sorry when dealing with a flywheel.
