Default SR intakes ready.

SIKE

LOL, oh boy, Yam is gonna lock this topic up quicker than a S'n'M chick with a set of handcuffs.

If I order my intake today or tomorrow, when should I expect to receive it??

Depends on which one you order. The beta 1 and v6 are SUPPOSED to be finished by this week, and the beta 2 by the following, but with all of the jerking around of SR that the tubing factories have done to us, im not taking anything for granted anymore.

On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most sure, how sure are you that I will get my intake next week if I order it today? BETA 2 for my 2k tibby auto

It wouldnt suprise me. A 3-d bend is fairly hard to make repeatably, and keep the section area constant, and still keep the external finish on the pipe decent enough for powdercoating. suicide That was one of the biggest problems KORE had with their intakes, getting the pipes right.

Are there any other cars (makes), that have that complex of a bend?

Can anybody go deeper into the process of making an intake,
ie: machinery, tools, hardware...

Most, and well all i've seen personally, bending machines work in two dimensions. But with a complex bend you need to bend it multiple times and I guess SR was having problems with their supplier doing it correctly and repeatably. A good shop should be able to do it, but it wont be cheap

Yeah, the bends were doable, but if we wanted to pay 4K for the tooling of it. Wed have to sell A LOT of intakes to get that kind of money back.
