Ericy321 05-13-2007 06:22 PM

haha, thats what i thought when i saw these, but finally...
...bought a set !!

Loneshark 05-21-2007 03:16 PM

got them today !! they look awesome, im dreading having to pull the dash out again, ughhh, but its gonna look so sweet

SOCKS_old 05-21-2007 06:25 PM

OT, but you dont need to pull the dash to get the cluster out, just pop off the left side of the upper part of dash enough to get the gauges out.

DTN 05-21-2007 06:30 PM

^^ you still gotta take out all the screws. That just saves you from having to disconnect the wiring and the heater cable.

SOCKS_old 05-21-2007 10:18 PM

or just not bother putting all the useless screws back in like me, makes it 10000X easier.

DTN 05-22-2007 08:45 AM

^^ No thanks, i like my non-rattling, squeeking dashboard.

Tiburonmoo 05-25-2007 09:25 PM

I ordered a set of these about 2 days ago from your website. I know I wouldn't have them by now obviously but I was wondering if you got the order? I didn't get anything saying that you got the order. Thanks!

SOCKS_old 05-26-2007 08:10 PM

lol, my dash doesn't rattle or squeak at all, but ok.. another theory statement..

anyway, anyone want me to get on the kmh gauges? or no.. my paypal account would appreciate it.

DTN 05-26-2007 09:05 PM

on my car I forgot to put in those two visor bolts. it kept ticking and i couldn't figure out what it was. It turned out to be a bit of clearance between the dash and the mount right there.

demon_fox 05-26-2007 10:27 PM

yessss i neeeed the kph

SOCKS_old 05-26-2007 11:51 PM

well, ill make the kph ones when i get paid to make em

lol

UrS0NvS 05-27-2007 07:09 AM

good lord guys how friggin hard is it to pull your dash and send socks the damn bezel. you want the world, but not willing to put a little work into it. its a bezel, not a damn IM that would not make your car run. if i had kp bezels this would have already been done.

why does it bother me? i've got bros gauges coming from SFR.

anyone sends the bezel to socks, i'll pay the 25 clams to get the work done.

Ericy321 05-27-2007 08:41 AM

ive been trying to get the speedo surround from canada forever. i cant get one around here obviously.

SOCKS_old 05-27-2007 10:30 AM

i dont need the bezels. i have kmh gauges, so i can just use those to create the bezels, using the centerlines of the hash marks.

the bezels would help though.

UrS0NvS 05-27-2007 05:50 PM

well hell nate let me know your paypal addy and i'll cough it up.

won't be until tuesday though, damn holidays.

DTN 05-27-2007 07:42 PM

Someone with stock KPH gauges please remove the bezels and send them to socks. He will draft the new bezels and make super-cool replacements. He just needs stock kph bezels from behind the plastic in your gauges. You're going to have to remove them anyways to put in the new ones.

Here's a little help in getting to them. http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtopic=14086&st=0 Once you have the main dashboard off, remove 4 screws holding your gauge cluster in place, then pull the cluster out. When you have it out, remove the 2 screws on the front, pop the clear plastic out by depressing the tabs, and then pop the black plastic portion off by depressing the tabs. When you have all that out, just pop the bezels off, then put the retainer clips directly through the holes in the gauge faces and reassemble the whole thing.

It's pretty simple and should only take 1 hour total. It would be nice to have replacements made for all RD2s. I figured i would write this because I don't think people understand that this is a replacement for the parts that are already in their gauge cluster, or someone would have realized they could help out the entire community by just taking apart their dash and sending their bezels off.

Tiburonmoo 06-05-2007 09:20 PM

Just got the set that I ordered last week or so and they look real good. Everyone should get a set too.

Moderators, please close this thread and delete these subforums, move all threads to general vendors. He's given up on us now, and we've got some QUALITY versions of these bezels coming from speedhut.com soon.
