Racing school in Korea by Lee Myung Mok BMW GT driver
I know in the states, amateur racing is pretty much out of pocket with small prizes that hardly put a dent in your racing budget. Does this hold true in korea? prizes?
Also, what kind of specs in my car will I need to be competitive? catagories? My car is pretty well hooked up for amateur racing. Racing coilovers, big brake kit, ~200whp. I'll need a new set of tires though.
I can only have one car in korea and racing it would really kill its reliability. I've seen the video clips and I'm wondering how safe racing like this is.
My friend told me about the drag racing in Taegu, I'll have to check it out sometime.

Not a head to head competition...more like qualitfying lapping only to measure time per each lap and win.
Prize? $500 for 1st place? Don't know exactly.
KMRC gives $1,000 for 1st prize and trophy.
200whp turbo car or n/a? 2,000cc FWD domestic is entry level competition.
Once you have track license issue by Everland Speedway, you can pay like $35 / 20mintues of driving your own with other peeps on practice day.
Once I go back, I have to renew mine too. I don't know if I can still keep my #179th person got the license instead of several thousands now...
