Spark plug and semi circular seals will come with a valve cover gasket kit. SFR could get it all oem Im sure but maybe you would be better off just getting it here?

Double check what you need that's not on the site already, and I'll get the word to Jay.

yeah my engine is running like crap due to the timing belt (147,000 miles on original timing belt). my valves are tapping like a pissed off bojangles trying to riverdance.

i understand the kdmstuff has the timing pakcage, but i really only want the timing belt, water pump, and wp gasket (belts are near brand new, i'm gonna risk the idler and tensioner pullies) so that narrows it down to just those 3 componets.

i figured while i'm tearing apart 1/2 my engine i might aswell go for 3/4 and do a port and polish on a spare head i had. hence the gaskets-... the valve cover gasket that i have on there now is almost brand new so i do not need that. the other seals could use replacing.

thanks for the speedy responses! -steve

If you have 147k miles on your ORIGINAL timing belt, you are seriously on borrowed time... They are supposed to be changed every 60k miles.

Your valves tapping has nothing to do with your timing belt. When the timing belt goes bad, it breaks, which makes pistons bends valves and then... well, engine no worky anymore. You still need to change it though before it breaks. I would almost be afraid to drive it anymore until then.

well i was thinking if the timing belt has stretched inbetween teeth-... that would screw up the timing, allowing to let the car to run like crap and allowing the valves to tap. +cel for camshaft sensor voltage too high!

i'm pretty sure it's the original timing belt i bought the car w/ 135,000 miles and i've been trying to bring it back to life ever since.

i'll make another thread.

For the timing belt kit, just tell Jay to not inlcude the accesory belts. I believe its 20 less then. I had a thread about it a while back

No, it wouldn't stretch that much. If it did, it would just break.
