Hallo,
I noticed in the following thread a project i liked:
http://www.audiogroupforum.com/csforum/sho...958&page=19

check out from the bottom of that page, and a few pages forward.
many more pics of progress on the link.

This guy made a carbon pieces behind the stock brakes, to cover the gap seen when putting bigger wheels.
Can you do it for our tibs, to be out behind 17" wheels?

I know it is solely for looks, But I would get it. Can't aford big brakes, and don't need them for now, and want more carbon on my car.

Let me know your thoughts,

Sasha.

How do you say "rice" in German?

To each his own, but that looks lame to me. Prolly looks a lot better flying down the road than when standing still, but that requires at least 1 friend to help you shoot it (j/k tongue.gif ).

That's fine on a DD street car. If you ever drive aggressively or track the car, you're gonna overheat the brakes hardcore.

To me it looks like they are trying to make it look like it has a big break kit, when it dosent. Spells out RICE to me.

I dont like it.

I call it what it is. A nice piece of carbon to close the gap created by bigger rims.

That's it!

It looks nice, but definitely not worth the time or effort to me. I'm sure it floats someone's boat. It's just one extra thing I'd have to clean.

If its for show, wouldn't your rims be the main focal point? If they provided functionality as well, but as other have said, it serves no function. Perhaps if it was modified for brake cooling in some fashion then i could see a point.
