lookin good, makes me want to paint my IM and TB black. When the weather gets better you gotta wash your engine bay lol. Cant wait to see the rest installed

Before you add any more parts, spend some time and clean that engine pay. It's gross. cool.gif

radu_rd2 03-01-2009 02:50 PM

Haha you're right, it is gross, but as you can see I'd rather replace parts than clean them lol

I am in the process of installing the kit. The intercooler/piping bolted up quite nicely.

i would put the the BOV farther from the maf..

maybee something like 6 inches

radu_rd2 04-22-2009 10:38 PM

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I have extra clamps, couplers and pieces of pipe so I can move the MAF up a bit if necessary.

I started her up today with no downpipe, here's a little video

I don't have the wideband wired up yet, but I took her for a spin with a base map generated by the FIC program, and it ran AWESOME

I saw about 5 psi, the turbo spools up really fast, even at 2-3k rpm it feels like a rocket to me lol

Also, I fiddled with the hotside piping and got it to sit a lot higher than in the initial pics

^^ I had to remove that tow hook, because my hot pipe runs exactly where the tow hook is.

radu_rd2 04-25-2009 10:03 AM

Yea i think that was the original plan but this is almost as good with less work smile.gif

SOCKS_old 04-25-2009 10:25 AM

the plan was to run it exactly like you have it now, but i expected it to sit a little bit higher. you shouldn't have any problems where it sits now. if you do, i will replace it (and any kit i've sold) with 2" piping for free.

people with a kit will scrape their bumper before they would scrape that area anyway.

can't wait to see some videos and more pics. glad you really like everything.
