Default my question for you ballrub....

ok i have been considering your kit lately over piecing my own together. i drive a beta swapped accent and i am worried on the fitment of your piping, mainly from the intercooler. is there anyway i could get dimensions on the intercooler? also is the kit available w/o the intercooler so that i could adapt another ic with custom piping. are there any other cleareance problems you think i should be considering, possibly around the intake and battery area (relocation of the battery may be needed)? also could i get a measurement from the block to the radiator/fans and a measurement from teh turbo to the radiator/fans? do you have any engine pics of the turbo so i can try to eye the 2 compartments? i can provide a picture for you if you'd like.

i'm running the accent ecu piggy backed with an apex-i safc to tune a/f rather than the tib ecu. will i run into any problems with the unichip tuning this way? would another form of piggyback manage be better off, an apexi or hks unit maybe?

are there any available flanges to adapt a larger turbo, t3/t4 to your manifold?

what would prices be on the kit w/o the ic and unichip(if unichip isn't able to be used). what about just without the intercooler?

how would your warranty work out in my situation, would it still be the same since it is still a beta motor, or is there a stipulation because it's in an accent rather than a tib or elantra?

sorry for all the questions but as you can tell i have a unique application and i just want to get everything worked out before i actually get into purchasing the turbo. thanks.

Rudy... sorry, but we have been pretty busy around here since SEMA.

"is there anyway i could get dimensions on the intercooler?"

17"L x 8.5"H x 2"W...add 4.25" for each side tank.

"also is the kit available w/o the intercooler so that i could adapt another ic with custom piping."

At the moment, NO.

"are there any other cleareance problems you think i should be considering, possibly around the intake and battery area (relocation of the battery may be needed)? also could i get a measurement from the block to the radiator/fans and a measurement from teh turbo to the radiator/fans? do you have any engine pics of the turbo so i can try to eye the 2 compartments?"

At the moment, we don't have a car with the turbo kit here, so can't take any measurements for you (maybe when tony brings back his white `99 tibby for final tuning and upgrades). No nice pictures yet either.

"i'm running the accent ecu piggy backed with an apex-i safc to tune a/f rather than the tib ecu. will i run into any problems with the unichip tuning this way?"

Yes... I'm sure it won't work. The Unichip could be custom re-programmed, but I'm still thinking the Apex unit won't work with the Unichip.

"would another form of piggyback manage be better off, an apexi or hks unit maybe?"

Don't know!!

"are there any available flanges to adapt a larger turbo, t3/t4 to your manifold?"

Not at this time.

"how would your warranty work out in my situation, would it still be the same since it is still a beta motor, or is there a stipulation because it's in an accent rather than a tib or elantra?"

If our kit was not modified in any way, then our "1-Year / Unlimited Mileage" warranty against defects in materials and workmanship would apply. But, any deviation, or modification to our original kit, would void all warranties!

ughm thanks for the reply, not really wanted i wanted to hear but i kind of expected it. i'll try and get random to get those measurements for me since you don't have the car there.

i may still look into your kit and just sell off what i can't use. thanks again.
