yah ive been planning to go turbo..thanks for the advise tho.. ive said it on RD before...prolly like late summer i should have enough for a turby
Yup, I do have that catback on my (turbo) car. The diameter is "supposed" to be 2.5", and I measured it; it's 2.5", but measured at the exterior of the pipe, not the interior. So my catback is a little less than 2.5".
Now, about the resonator, I don't know if they changed it but on mine, the resonator is like ~1.5" in circumference max. If you look through the pipe, you can clearly see the interior of the resonator; it is composed of a smaller pipe of ~1.5" inside a larger perforated pipe, but at the end of it, only the smaller pipe gets a way out. Like this:

...hope you see what I mean smile.gif
Now, no need to say that this is restrictive. We've come to the conclusion that the resonator basically does the job of the muffler, as the muffler itself on this catback is straight pipe and doesn't seem to have anything for helping to muffle the sound.
Also, we HAD to cut the flange on the side that sits towards the front of the car, as it was nowhere near straight; it was like that: . Kinda makes it hard to adjust a flange on the other side to fit it.
Now don't get me wrong, for the price I paid my catback, I'm very happy with it. If you don't like the resonator, you can always have it removed, but it's painful to cut such a nice piece of stainless wink1.gif
It would be interesting to know if these catbacks indeed have the same resonator as mine.

Blah, so is it 2.5" or 2.25"? Pretty much all the exhaust piping is measure on the outside, so as long as it has 2.5" on the outside I will consider buying it.
importshark said it was 2.25..
