Probably not very high my man. Rumor is that messing with your steering wheel *And therefore the airbag* is a federal offence.
Now... I could look around...

Well let me ask this, this was said before on other sites, but "who will see in side of your car and would worry about what is on your car, the Keyword is your car, that you are buying and no one else, you are putting gas and maintaing it." That was what was said...
Umm...if you don't have an OEM airbag loaded steering wheel in your car and you get into an accident, good luck ever trying to collect money from the insurance company. Also, when the police come out and see the accident and see that no airbag went off due to the fact that you have an aftermarket steering wheel with no airbag, then good luck trying to get out of the ticket due to removing the airbag. To me, the cons are way too much compared to the pros. The only way I would remove the steering wheel and airbag is if I was using my car as a pure trailer queen. I would never want to put myself or my passenger in harms way because of something that I thought looked cool. rolleyes.gif

The main problem is...if you live in a state with emissions testing, they might flag you. And any cop that pulls you over could ticket you for the lack of an airbag. it's a FEDERAL law, so they might not be well versed on it...but then again...they might.
If you want to take the risk, I'd say keep your old steering wheel and airbag around. They are VERY spendy to try to buy new or used.
