Default Korean Headlights

I sent an e-mail to cutomer service in early November (sema show time) about purchasing a set of Korean spec headlights for my 98 Tiburon, all I need is a price, and rather than waiting for customer service to sort through the backlogged E-Mail.... I thought I would post here.

Random said that the spectrum of the light patterns were a lot different than that of the US ones, and I don't think glass will yellow smile.gif

The light pattern is MUCH different. They are NOT brighter, but the glass front will never yellow.

What I reccomend you do is replace the Korean spec light cups with the USA spec light cups to preserve the USA spec beam pattern.

Stock USA spec Low Beam Pattern
Korean Spec Light Pattern

That photo of the korean spec light patter is before adjusting them. If you notice the drivers side light is about 12" below the passenger light.

Korean lights re-adjusted

I keep the passenger side light lower than the drivers side light because of the way the light comes up on the right hand side of both headlights. This is due to the "cups" in the lights. The USA spec lights have cups the go more or less straight across. The Korean Spec lights go up on the RIGHT. This puts your head lights in the mirrors of all users on the right of you. It goes up high enough to hit the side view mirror on semi's as you pass them. They get REALLY pissed about it.

Plz, plz, plz....put the USA spec cups in place of the Korean Spec cups.

Yamaneko is BRADLEY, not BRANDON! wink

You should e-mail SR, or call to check on your order.

Holiday spirit...? Normally you would tell him to stop hijacking topics... tongue.gif

I still don't get what the great plus is to these glass headlights. Yellow, what do you mean yellow?

Ehhh, the clear plastic of our headlights will turn yellowish after a time. Just happens with old clear plastic.

The UV rays from the sun, fine scratches and air borne contaminates (smog/exhaust) build up and eat plastic.

Or, you can polish your plastic lenses

to remove all contaminates and then apply this
