Okay, where does this leave us?

 

Well basically we (RD2's) can use the beta2 PS pulley if there was a way to remove the grove and add a v. Or if we could get the second water pump pulley (other end of the PS belt) from a beta2 then the beta 2 ps pulley should work as they would both be groved.

 

Hmm...

What did the GIM package come with?

 

I have all three GIM pulleys. Not sure if David could get them or Rick??? But this is what they came with:

PS Pulley - Spline, VBelt - Did not come with new belt
Water Pump Pulley - UnSplined with keyway, Groved belt - Did not come with new belt
Crank Pulley - UnSplined with keyway, Two Groved Belts - Came with two new belts

Everything fit great except the crank pulley the keyway was about a hundreth of an inch too short, just had to carefully file it out a bit.

 

David CAN get them, but he says GIM products are crappy in quality and doesn't want to carry them.

I guess we can get this list to him and see what he says.

 

I've had them on for six months or so and no problems becides the keyway issue with the crank pulley. I had originally purchased the OBX ones they returned them. These are much better quality than the OBX ones but I have never seen the jspeed ones so I cant really compare them.

 

I think jspeed is the way to go...But we just need to fix the problem for us rd2 guys....just my 2 cents...I am ready fro a full pair of these
