Our big meeting with Corporate Hyundai went very well, but they admitted they would have to change (beef up) the clutch on the 6-speed before they were content that the added hp and torque wouldn't cause warranty and customer service issues. They are not prepared to make those changes immediately, putting off our chances of this kit being offered through their dealer network for this year. If they "beef up" the clutch for next year, maybe...
This also means that "technically" our supercharger kit "voids" the factory power train warranty. That is why we have instigated a limited "3-Year / 36,000 Mile Power Train Warranty" that supersedes the factory warranty, and the consumer has the option of extending that warranty at the end of the first warranty, that will match or mirror the remaining factory warranty. This is underwritten by Dell Financial, and is only available in the U.S. and Canada.

The fact that Alpine is willing to cover parts on the car that Hyundai isn't is huge. I don't know of any other company that does this and I doubt they will.Yes, the 2.7L kit has been CARB certified (E.O. # D-551-1), and should have stickers back from the printer this week.
