Gi- Carbon Fiber Parts What Would You Like To See
as much as im getting away from CF, i had a pretty cool idea that should work using high temp resin..
a CF covered valve cover. it would obviously be JUST for looks, but would give an AMAZING look to the engine bay. and there would be no mold that would need to be made really. just prep the valve cover (rough up surface, cover cruicial spots, etc) and vac. bag it. people could also have it candied to match their own color scheme.
i, myself would be interested in this.
another great thing about this would be the fact that you can get a beta II valve cover for like 130$, and with the added CF wrap, you should have a really nice new look for the engine bay.
this could be coupled with cheap CF wrapped/replacements like reservoir tanks, fuse box covers, etc.
weight savings is great and all, but when it comes down to it, no matter what people say, the biggest reason they buy it is looks.

the cf engine cover is a good idea but i've been told by carbonation that texalium (silver cf) is hard to make intricate pieces out of cause of the fact that it has actual aluminum strands in it.
great idea and very doable, if anybody want overlays done just ask. THats not really a group buy sorta thing, pricing would be in the $200-$250 range I'd think
FYI- that weave is a 4x4 as opposed to the std 2x2 twill most use. I've used it a limited amount but absolutely LOVE the Shit. its also about 50% more $$$

when get my car down to NM and have some extra $$ i will probably go with an engine color overlay. i would be interested in the cheaper, standard 2x2. would there be anyway to use a candy colored coat instead of a clearcoat on it, to give it a color tinted look?
just an idea...i don't know if alot of people would like this but i would a nice set of custome fenders carbon fiber or fiberglass i think u said u can use the same molds? and rd1 and rd2 fenders are the exact same...you could probably do up something really cool like give them gills like a shark
