Fg Gauge Pillars, A Quote
To give an indication of pricing check these out. Doing these in a mold is VERY difficult, after converting the original mold for infusion I made atleast 4 sets of pillars that were scrap just to get the process perfect.
THey have to be seamed also, otherwise the weave gets all screwy and distorted. The seam is barely noticable though

color and texture is a tricky thing on FRP products, its best to have a smooth glossy surface so the parts come out of the mold with ease and while colors can be tinted and matched pretty easily its also kinda pricey. I generally just use a std black gelcoat on most of my fiberglass parts and let the customer paint to match
yeah a poll will deffinately be needed for the options we have to go with

Yes, they were, not to mention CD, the new one didn't match up in color or texture with the OEM one, so the 2 sides looked different.

If it's not a full replacement I'm out. We could have had 1/2 pillar replacements in plastic that would have matched the OEM stuff before if you guys were up for 1/2 pillar replacements. What happened? Why didn't you guys just go for that?

Because it would be ONE side.
You really should read man.
The ones he did for the other guys, had a 1/2 pillar, for BOTH sides, so they match.
Id' have gone for plastic ones, if they made 2 1/2 replacements, so they have a similar line on both sides.

nono, the Elantra pillars are full replacements as OEM, they don't extend over the door like the Tib pillars.
The GK Pillars I offer are full replacements like OEM BUT I don't offer a replacement for the passenger side as you mention. I will offer that for the RD though if thats what is wanted
lol, for the life of me I couldn't figure out why you would want 2 and a half pillars, stupid me haha *I wish there was a smack head smiley*

Actually, I did read. I just never thought about the whole only having one side with the 1/2 pillar plastic ones. Anyways, enough offtopic for me.
Bump for other opinions.
Just a quick update to this guys.
I've gotten around to doing a quick mock-up of the pods. I'm FAIRLY certain that everyone will have an option for what they want. Fulls and halfs
I can do a pre-buy or wait till I finish the mold to sell them. Up to you guys really.

Wow, sounds like someone has a hole burning in his pocket with some money. I'd suggest you do a deposit kind of deal like last time.
BTW, I got my door sills. I'll get to check them out tonight. 439.gif
