EGT PROBE/MANIFOLD

Tim,
I was wondering for a suggestion as to where to
locate the probe in your manifold. I am thining about locating it either in either the #2 cylinder or just before the turbo flange on the manifold.
I am also wondering if the metal you used to make the manifold is thick enough so i can tap a spot to locate the probe.

But i thought placing the probe in the downpipe after the turbo would give a in-accurate reading? The temps would be lower then really what they are if its in the downpipe? ANd not up in the mafiold reading the temps coming from the exahust ports???????

if you put the sensor too close to the ports you would be getting a reading somewhere between the combustion chamber temp's and the EGT.
Where does the guage manufacturer recommend putting it??? if its not in the documentation, call or email them and ask.
