Damaged Altezza Lights!
It's me again. I came home today and saw that my Altezza's finally came in. I was immediately upset because I had ordered two pairs of lights and only one pair came in today. But I figured that the other was on its way. I grabbed my tools and began disassembling my old lights. I pulled out my first Altezza light and started to put it in when I realized that the outer plastic looked a little dirty. I brought the light inside and tried to clean it up when I realized that it wasn't dirt, but it was scratches. There were more scratches on the other light as well. It looks so bad that it looks as if it were used or something. I just got done putting my old lights back in and packaging up my new ones, and here I am again posting up a complaint. I am extremely upset at the quality of the APC product. I don't even know how these got out of the factory. Now my question is, what do I do with them? My sister was very upset at this and she already decided that she wants to cancel her order. I still want my lights, so I want to know if I will be able to send these lights back without paying shipping charges and get the credit put back into the credit card, and then wait for the second pair of lights to come in and see if they are in good shape. Please let me know as soon as possible because I think that this has gone on way too long. I didn't think that purchasing products online could be such a hassle.
As I was in the same position as you I was told that ALL the lights were damaged. The company didn't package them right and they got scratched. All you have to do is clean them up with some car polish or wax. But if you wanna go as far as returning them you gotta talk to Sam or Brad. Later
Yes. When APC's affiliate in Taiwan packaged them, they did it wrong. The whole first batch came out like this. All you have to do is take some car wax or plastic polish, and it will buff right out. We have sold at least 30 of these lights, and havent had one customer that said this didnt work.
Thats what youre paying for when you see "made in taiwan!" At least this fiasco is not as bad as what happened to APC's euro tails for the pt cruiser. After 2 months, part of EVERY light melted! They had a huge recall!!

Well, I did put some car wax on the lights and tried to buff them out. It did an incredible job on getting rid of most of the scratches, but I can still see quite a bit of scratches on it. Is it possible to get them as good as new? If so, does that just mean that I need to let the wax set on the lights longer or put on several more coats?
Well, Im not sure as I havent done it myself. But like I said, there have been tons of people who have, and I havent heard of one case from SR or outside SR of this not working...ANyone out there who did this able to give him some pointers?
