CNK ECU success!!!!
Skierd, just by reading this thread sounds like the factory wiring is tapped by the piggy back computer to get signals from crank angle sensor etc and new wiring for map sensor which the pig ecu then sends the output directly to the injectors & coils. Factory computer handles idle, air con fan etc while the pig ecu handles ign and fuel. Might be wrong but sounds like thats the way its done and if it is done this way I cant see why it is a secret. Common way of doing things when you only really need control over fuel and ign.
I think the answer is infront of you.
It might be slightly obscured by Chris' english, but its there.
read this bit again:
The way the unit control fuel is by intercepting the signal that would have normally gone to the engine afte the inputs are recieved by the stock ECU
I translate that to:
The unit controls fuel by intercepting the signal FROM the stock ecu
TO the engine. i.e the injectors and ignitors.
So when the stock ECU tells injectors to open, they dont, the CNK ECU stops the signal and sends its own signal
, based on what the stock ECU wanted to do, and
the new paramters in the CNK ECU's maps
hmmm?

My answer is different.
Bryfx's answer to me reads the stock ecu signal to pulse the injectors/coils(ecu output) is intercepted, changed and continued on by the piggy back ecu.
My answer is taps signals from sensors before factory ecu and sends its own fuel/ign signal based on other sensors, not the factory ign/fuel output.
I cant see how you could rely on using factory ecu fuel/ign output as doesnt the factory ecu have a certain level of learning and if youve programmed into the pig ecu certain alterations wouldnt they then change.
The CNK ecu sounds very similair to the way Unichip ecu works. How does it compare.

Chris!
Just wanted to know a few questions about the ECU
I was wondering if your ECU is Tunable in 200Rpm increments for Fuel?
Also since it works on MAF cars, do we have to remove the MAF in our cars and install the MAP sensor thats supplied with the CNK ECU?
Thanks! smile.gif smile.gif

No the ECU only is able to map at 500RPM intervals.
NOTHING is to be removed from ANY car to run the CNK ECU - it is compatiable with MAF OR MAP sensors, BUT if you want to remove the MAF for whatever reason, the CNK ECU will aid the swap perfectly.
