Default CAN CNK make me.........

Can you make me a set of 1.8 rods that are rated for 300Whp or better at the crank? If you can how much would it cost? Everyone else wants too dang much money like Crower, & Arias just to name a few.

Plus I dont feel like waiting 4 more months(thats whats they say it takes to make them) on top of the year and a half I haven't been able to drive my poor baby.

Heres the deal with my engine. Im using a 2.0 block with a 1.8 crank. I'm shooting to get 8:5:1 and keep the block the same bore. I want to be able to run atleast a full bar of boost with a Garret T-4 turbo setup. I have a ported intake manifold alreadt, with match throttle body, and a ported head too.
I will buy a set of your pistons too match if you can make the rods, what do ya say Chris? Can you help a poor desperate soul get his car back and running on the mean Texas roads

I have invested in a CNK radiator, soo having all CNK internals would be great.(kissing butt caint you tell) suicide

I check this post everyday soo I can reply back fast

First of all your stock rods are good UP TO 300WHP so if you decide to stay at that HP margin then you will be OK.
Secondly the Blocks are identical between the 2.0L and 1.8L so you DONT HAVE A 2.0L block.. smile.gif

Since you are using the 1.8L Crank and Rods MAKE sure you inform to Chris that you NOW have a 1.8L motor so he can make Pistons MADE for you at a 8.5:1 ratio.
If you install custom 2.OL 8.5:1 Pistons in your 1.8L motor you will be WAY below the 5:1 ratio mark

I had a set of 1.8L Pistons made for me by Chris and the Quality and workmonship Speaks for itself.and of course the price is right too
Hope this helps!

....BUT I want them a little bit stronger. Kinda like insurance for my boost happy fingers... ya get my drift. Well Chris what can ya do for meRODS & PISTONwise???

sorry taken so lobng to reply -- been hectically busy this side.

To answer your question simply --- theanswer would be " CNK CAN make ANYTHING you want him to make! AND it will be cheaper than ANYONE else in the market but the same quality or better too!"

I can indeed make thes rods for you - BUT I am busy with the 2.0 rods at the moment, and have a customer of mines Tiburon making 315WHP at the moment coming in to fit these once they are completed as he is also boost hungry and not happy with 315WHP --- he wants 350+ ...

If you can ait a while to see the results - then I can certainly help you out --- the length of the rod is the main difference between the 1.8 and 2.0

Not happy with 315HP what a nut ball.

Ok how long would I have to wait for the rods.

Also if I ordered a set of pistons from you today or tommorow or something could you make them strong enough for the above info that I mentioned. I have the money to order pistons right now.

Let me know how to purchase.

Killershark ---

I am working on it at the moment ... I have put it on hold for a couple of weeks as I have alot of other work to do that must be done right now ...

I WILL be getting these done very soon as I have MANY people with orders and deposits paid for this already -- the rods once completed will handle over 500HP with a backfire (burst pressure of up to around 4 times the tonage of the stock rods)

Pistos you can order from me, but depending on how you want to pay you might have to deal through Maier (South Africa is ONLY able to accept direct wire T/fers, for international T/actions) Paypal must go through Maier (shame poor maier is getting flooded with this !! suicide
