Thanks KDM guy for the explaination........
I guess M&Tech woud be out of the question even though on there website it says Turbo Stronger gears....
I recall in the past a Mitsu tranny 6speed MIGHT work but i will search to see what i find out because there has to be something that will work for the BETA 1 besides Cryo treating or possibly find someone locally that would made stronger gears for my gearbox
Thanks Again! smile.gif

The Mitsu FTO tranny supposedly bolts right up, but other than trying to FIND one, I dunno.

I'd get a spare set of gears and just get them laser peened and cryo treated.

That should do fine.

Redz!
I was thinking of getting them cryo trated but i hear mixced response on them that it really doesnt do much in terms of making them stronger but only a bit cooler when treated.
Regarding the FTO that was my other option but have found no info about it or actually done in Korea.Im thinking IF it bolts up all you would have to change is the Shifter cables...
I can get the tranny from my supplier in Japan but i want to be 100% sure it works. These trannys are NOT cheap because of its High demand! mad.gif
Any idea what year FTO tranny WOULD supposedly fit?

I have no idea, but it was only built for 6 years. I've been told it's the 6Speed.

As for cryo treating, it doesn't make the parts "Cooler", it's like heat treating, it changes the characteristics of the metals.

Peening is a VERY easy and cost effective way of hardening the surface of a metal item, and laser/water peening would probably be the best for those as it won't change clearances or anything. Cryo treatment would probably be the absolute best bet though. I'd suggest you do a bit of research on the subject of surface treatments to metal and the benefits/drawbacks.

Or I can find my mechanics of materials book and look it up for you.
