I just got those for the RD1 fron SFR.

But these don't fit the OEM on my RD1, these are a bit bigger and don't fit in the hole.

What do you suggest me to do to make them fit? Cut a bit off from the sides?

REDZMAN 01-10-2008 03:40 PM

They should fit just fine. I have a set on my RD2, my old RD1 has a set, and my Kia Sorento has a set.

If it's a TIGHT fit, then get a file, and file down the edges of the hole, or the plastic, just a bit.

I've never ever heard of these not fitting anyone.

Ok, I'll try it that way tomorrow.

Maybe the European models are a bit ditterent

I was just gonna ask you about these REDZ. Do they work fine or does it spray all the way up to the hood? Mine used to do that but I want new ones now cause mine got wax in em they spray like garbage now...just an excuse to get some new ones also.

definitely dont file the hood openings, the last thing you want is rust. just shave a little off the nozzles if its tight.

this is an awesome mod btw guys, you can adjust the trajectory of each nozzle with a needle stuck into it and aim it wherever you want spray.

may i remind you guys that you may want to look at my cowl nozzle relocation DIY at this time as well(in the diy listing). wink1.gif

I had to file the holes in my CF hood to get them to fit, but they fit the OEM hood fine.

You can file the metal ones, just put a coat of black fingernail polish around the edges when you are done.

badshah 01-11-2008 02:50 PM

Mine just would fit in :s it wasnt even a tight fit

It is about 3-5mm bigger than the holes of the oem nozzles

bad luck 02.gif

EDIT-
Ok, I just took the plastic packing where the nozzle was in out of the garbage and doublechecked the numbers, and checked those on the sfr website

they sent me: 98630 2C700
while the one on their website says: 98630 3K500

I think they sent me the wrong one, what should I do? Can they send me a new one or do I need to order them again?

Blank_00Tib 01-14-2008 01:35 PM

I just ordered a set. Hope they fit perfectly for me.

REDZMAN 01-14-2008 03:49 PM

^^^
They should, this is the first time, ever, that someone couldn't fit them. Mine wouldn't fit on my CF hood, so I filed the holes down a bit, and they fit fine.

Part numbers change, and often the same part on different vehciles will have different part numbers, I doubt thats the issue at all.

Again, we've sold hundreds of these, even when I was with Kspec, and they have always fit everything.

Feel free to email jay at seoulfulracing @ yahoo.com to see what he has to say.

BTW, is it the OEM hood? I mean is it the hood that came ON the car or was it replaced in an accident?

badshah 01-14-2008 05:54 PM

Yep, the hood is still OEM.

The nozzles I got had a yellow bottom (the piece that goes into the hood), on the pictures those are black :o

Maybe I will order new ones
