So Ive had this hood sitting around for months now. The corners broke off it during shipping and I never really got around to having them fixed. So when someone local offered to buy my stock hood I went and had the Zefiro fixed. Well wouldnt you now, he ended up backing out so now Im stuck with the stock hood.

Well anyway, The fitment is fvcking AWESOME. Im talking better than stock. Its absolutely beautiful, the quality is insane. I'd say its the best hood made for the RD1s. It bolted right on, no problems at all. It's in primer right now, and I'll hopefully be getting the rest of the kit within a couple weeks. Then the whole car will be painted Nissan Altima gunmetal. But for now the primer doesnt stand out too much, because the car is silver.

The pictures dont do it justice, you cant see the lines as good because theres no reflections.

What I really love about it is that you can see the heat coming out of vents. Its really cool.

I think that it looks great, once everything's painted, that'll be one sexy mama haha. Did the kid give you a reason for backing out? Or does an RD hit squad have to make him an offer he can't refuse... ninja.gif

He decided to get one that was primered from the bodyshop. I was pissed because I was doing him a favor by having the other hood fixed in a rush. I really didnt have the money (cost $400 in the end) and I was expecting to get at least part of that for the stock hood. So now I ended up having to borrow even more money from my mother. And I'm probably gonna end up bringing the hood to the junkyard.

Edit: the extra vent sits right near the ram air intake, its meant for turboed cars, as far as I can tell. I actually like it with the vent.

I hate to be a copy cat but my car is gonna look pretty much identical to Random's old tib when its done. So just picture it gunmetal and thats what it wil look like. Im just debating if Im gonna keep the steel colored rims or go with bronze.

Looks good, even better with that gunmetal. And that little vent for the air ram intake? Now I don't know what an air ram intake is, I didnt think anything on that side of the hood would produce that much heat. Could someone show me a pic with it circled or something?

the hood is a lancer evo vii hood replica...

the side vent serves no purpose... its JUST a replica.

As Jaws021 said. That extra vent is on the EvoVII so it's on the Zefiro Replica hood. ON the EVO VII, it is an air intake. On the Tibby, it's a watering device for your fusebox. lol.gif

Well, that'll be me then. LOL unfortunately I have the exact same setup but will be keeping it silver. This just ain't right. Oh well.

Looks good though TC, and the fitment is great. I especially love the "Zefiro" emblem emblazoned on the underside by the latch. tongue.gif
