I got bored of my blue interior , so i changed colour from this-

To this, colours are pearlescent silver- switches, handles, vents and things are in metalic gun metal grey, i think it looks posh like the sort of thing you would find in a Benzo or somthing, oh and those are my new AC knobs from Kspec, had to do some mods to get them fit.

Looks great. Did you just paint over the blue or strip it off first?

I rubbed it all down first then cleaned it off with some thinners and soapy water to make sure there was no greasy marks that you can't always see, after that it was primed then painted and laquered.

u should use alcohol or paint prep instead of soap, as it does not leave a residue and dries quickly. Denatured alcohol preferably, but standard will work.

Thats why i used what we call over here, thinners, its like an alcohol based type of thing, basicly it strips paint and you can also use it to thin paint out abit to, hence its slang name thinners.
This leaves no residue and gets rid of greasy patches, everything was nice n clean before i sprayed it. wink1.gif

yay!!! that looks sooo much nicer! you took my advice! i noticed the red hood and the blue was sort of by itself. nice job. make sure you put a protective plastic gloss over it to keep scratches and peeling away.
