I'd throw the pictures up here too, but I did it on hp already and there's no need to waste bandwidth on this site.

Nah, not yet, I got everything out, I'm swapping things over to the "new" engine right now. I need the special tool to be able to get the flywheel bolts off. I have the dealership's tib manual so I'll hold it hostage until they let me borrow the tool.

You gotta let us know what happened when you open her up. It either looks like the piston broke and left the wrist pin or you had a barring spin on the crank.

lol, its not easy to tell lookin through a keyhole tongue.gif

I dont know if I'm going to honestly. It'd be cool and everything to see what happened, but I guess the time/space it would consume looks too much for me. We'll see though.

??? All you gotta do is drop the oil pan. Find the piston and take a picture of it tongue.gif. Also, take the rod that broke off the crank and take a look at the barring.

That can all be done in under 30 mins... taking a couple beer brakes lol.

I always look into what happened with a blown motor... you learn alot that way (and also see what caused it ie... starving for oil).
