Turboron_99 10-31-2011 11:44 AM

I suggest you go TURBO! lol for like the millionth time! Also i suggest you clean you resivor's there pretty yellow! lol Not bad though, looks nice, could use a AirRam in there!

blitz 10-31-2011 02:03 PM

HAHAHA  I'd like to go turbo, but I don't want some cheap setup. I mean with the nitrous I can add up to 100 and with some turbo setup around 2000-2500$ I'll be around 200bhp...If I will go turbo I'll go big 350+ or at least 300bhp, but that's not cheap  Don't get me wrong I love turbo tiburons, but I prefer to do it well or just don't do it. The airram is also pretty cool, but not good $ to hp. I love my car, but at least for now I'm not ready to spend that amount of money for turbo setup or airram. I need some 4-1 or 4-2-1 headers and coilovers. Can u suggest some coilovers? Please keep in mind that I drive my car daily and I don't need some expensive track suspension :)

The reservoir is already clean  The pic is not very new.

Also I might paint the valve cover in the same color as the tib ;)

Turboron_99 10-31-2011 03:44 PM

Cheap and durable, plus they ride amazing. I will tell you to get Ksports. Not alot off people with them, but my experience has been amazing!

Turboron_99 10-31-2011 03:47 PM

I can paint the valve cover and send it to you! I will do it the same as mine, you can PM me, i can just pick up a used one, then clean it paint it, then ship it to you.

Also yea, i got my AirRam at a steal, it was like 450 shipped lol! then i got the R-Side throttle body from DmDicks, for like 125 but i didnt know it was for a Beta 2 AirRam. But it was a simple fix!

Pm me if you want, i think as a rough price i sould probably do it for like 75 shipped you for the Vavle Cover! i will check shipping but it shouldnt be bad!

blitz 10-31-2011 04:46 PM

what's this cheap sh*t??? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tiburon-96-9...item20bdfa621b

and also this one Greddy type s suspension kit ???

http://www.ultrarev.com/manufacturer...sal=Y#Products

Turboron_99 10-31-2011 08:24 PM

LMFAO, Please stay away from the CoilOver addon things. All you do is remove you spring, install sleeve, then right on a really hard boucny spring. I mean there are quality kits out there, but for 53 dollars i dought it!

Also the Greddy i will go ahead and say that it is not for our car, just the design of the struts in the picture is not the same! But not sure if that is a stock picture or not!

Here is what i can say, If you can answer a few of these I will try to help you on finding the right kind of suspention.

1. How low do you want to go?

2. Do you get season's, like do you need to raise it in the winter and put it back down in the winter as in ride hieght, so you are not using your Tib as a Plow?

3. Do you daily the car, as i assume decent ride quality is a must?

4. What do you plan on using this car for besides daily driving, Drag, Autocross, tracking?

answer those, and we can go from there. Yet i think you really only have 2 good options, I like the the coilover it is like amazing! You can adjust the settings to how ever in just a few minute, you can go from the nice soft ride on the way to the strip, and then set it up nice and hard!

Or you can do the KYB struts and run what ever lowering spring you want, think NEX, and B&G have been good to people here! They are nice and think you can get the struts so the more aggresive you drive the more aggresive they will respond!

Also for a KYB setup your probably looking at about 700ish all said and done, or like 900 for the coils, but the coils are completly adjustable and i know the Ksports are pillowball tops so you can f*ck with CAmber!

blitz 11-01-2011 09:10 AM

First I'd like to say that your post is the perfect example of what deserves + reputation !

The 53$ were never in the plan , I was just curious ;)And about the Greddy I saw that they are universal, but the price is really good...

1.I sit on 15 inch 195/50 semi slicks and at least for now I'm not gonna change that, so I want to go low as much as possible for city driving.

2. Yep, we have really "nice" winters. Freezing cold and a lot of snow.

3. The tib is my everyday car.

4. Drag race and some track days, but mostly drag.

Adjustable suspension is big plus.

Tonight I'll go out with the tib have some fun and if there is something interesting will I'll post it later

blitz 11-01-2011 04:47 PM

A little ifno from tonights tests

We were testing the tib ( no nitrous ) and bmw 325tds ( 148whp dyno tested ). Now the beemer is with methanol injection. :)

Using dynolicious we first tested the bmw - without methanol 142whp and 161whp with methanol ;)

60-130km/h - 10.00sec without meth and 8.46sec ( we took 60-130 cause it was wet )

The tib before the P&P head was around 90whp :dunno: And now it's 116whp

60-130km/h - 9.42sec

I don't know how real these results are... I was holding pretty good the iphone when we were testing the bmw, but it was mounted at the cup holder when I was driving the tib. I'm sure that it's better if somebody is holding it for u than just put it in the cup holder.

The most interesting thing for me is the difference 90-116whp after the head work!

There is big difference now. The tibby is running really nice even from low rpms ;)

Turboron_99 11-01-2011 08:25 PM

Good, IF you have alot of snowy winters, i will say go with coil overs, it is nice to have that adjustablitlity, and the stiffness for drag racing is easily adjustable with coils! I say sir, you need coilovers! cheap reliable ones to get the job done, go with Ksport Pro's! and or if you can find them the B'G but there oinly semi adjustable, only ride hieght! you cant adjust for camber or dampening!

blitz 11-02-2011 08:48 AM

Thanx man

I'll check'em out ;)

By the way can u give me some more info of the performance of your tib? 0-60mph, 1/4 mile, whp ?

Turboron_99 11-02-2011 04:45 PM

My car specs, AirRam mani, RSide throttle body, custom Monster Green tops flow like a 65lbish! Head is ported running stock cams and 1mm over size valves. Block is just Cp pistons, some Eagle H Beam rods, Toda High performance oil pump, Acl Race bearing, plus a ARP kit for rod studs, head studs, and main caps.

Turbo kit, 57 trim, 48 ar, 2.5 hot pipes, 3" cold pipes, 28x14x4 FMIC, 3" exhaust, Tail 38 mm wastegate, Tial 50mm BOV, All tuned by a AEM Fic 1910!

Sticky tires Potenza RE760's There f*cking sick and actually keep you planted pretty good!

0-60 times= I dont race from Digs, it is pointless, i would wheel spin past 60 if i wanted, i usually start from a roll like 40ish.

1320 time= really depends on track setup, I ran low 12's with a track setup nice, a good sticky line is a must to launch. I use 8.5 slicks on Fx Wheels. They hook great but stick are pron to wheel spin, if the track isnt setup well, or launch to hard!

Send some american horses to ur bulgarian brother

Curious of how much are the loses to the wheels for our cars ?!? 15-18% ???

Turboron_99 11-03-2011 01:35 PM

i have never had my engine on a dyno by its self. i would imagine the lose being like 10 or 12 percent! Fwd lose isnt that bad!

blitz 11-03-2011 02:03 PM

I agree with you, but I saw a video of N/A 2.0 tiburon on dyno 180bhp/136whp I was like WTF ? 4X4 isn't loosing that much

blitz 11-06-2011 10:49 AM

Turboron_99 11-06-2011 01:55 PM

Thats pretty nice, i would leave the Spark Plug cover off, Also that adds what? Something like 95 Horsepower to the wheels!! LMFAO

blitz 11-06-2011 02:43 PM

95 that's minimum...I think it should be more like 120 :Shifty:

I'm 50-50 about the spark plug cover, that's why i posted with and without :)

Also what do u think about the nitrous nozzle ? Is that the best place ?

Turboron_99 11-06-2011 06:18 PM

What other color do you have on your car, try to incorporate another color with the Spark

plug cover, that would look okay!

Also Nitrous nozzle looks good! I would suggest you get a Aluminum Intake Elbow, Have you ever held a nozzle running off 900PSi there is alot of force and it WILL tear that rubber one, I found out the hard way and got stranded!

Check this little kit out, really you only need the elbow right off the mani, but you cant find just the elbow!

Not a bad deal if you have a friend that wants a cold air intake and you can just ask to give them a few bones for the elbow!

Elbow

blitz 11-07-2011 03:01 PM

The only other color on the tib is black.I'll try it maybe :)I was searching for some kind of elbow , but with no success. I'm checking on the rubber every now and then and still no problems THANK GOD

What happened with urs? Don't tell me it came out spilling fuel all over the engine bay !!!

Turboron_99 11-07-2011 03:08 PM

no. i was in the middle of making a run the nozzle ripped the rubber about a good 4" rip and i got stranded cause it was sucking air i the crack after the maf and wouldnt run for sh*t!

blitz 11-08-2011 12:35 AM

Oh oh I don't like that ! I have to do something about mine...
