Uhm, a few people saw me. One lady was on her phone, but as it is an unregistered and fairly nondescript car, good luck with that callout. Some dude sprayed the car with a hose on the way out, but he was smiling so whatever. Council utes drive on the park occasionally, so I just need an amber light and some hi-vis clothing for next time.
I believe they make the process difficult to deter car rebirthers, everybody seemed quite paranoid about the fact that I just wanted to register the car to drive it around. I guess there are still dollars to be made in rebirthing cars.

Neat, I've never been there but I'd love to go one day soon. Love the neighborhood.
Can you theoretically store doomed "Twinkie" on your property unregistered? Here in the States (at least in Maryland) there is a law that forbids unregistered cars to be parked outside on premise, although many people throw on fake tags or cover the cars up with tarp. In one case, a friend pushed his car behind his house. It's nothing bad unless you don't have your own driveway (townhouse) or have some nasty neighbors.
P.S. that old Hyundai ad is great.

There isn't a law that forbids it, but in swanky areas it is very much frowned upon. I tried to keep this car from looking too ratty, as it was just parked in my driveway.
The limiting reagent here is my mum's white rage. I'd taken almost everything worth anything from the car. She gets back from holiday this week, so Twinkie is never to have existed.
