For those of us who really love Tiburons, it would be nice to have a replica of our car somewhere, be it by the computer, on the dresser, or even in the car...

I was talking to a buddy of mine who had a part in Mattel's making of a 2001 Firebird. He said him and his car club all attached pictures and sent e-mails to Mattel's customer service asking them to make a hot wheel of their car. It worked. I would really like to try this with our cars.

My e-mail went something like this, you can use it for an example.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dear Hotwheels,

I am a soldier stationed at Fort Jackson, SC. Here in SC there are alot of car shows. I take my car to shows all the time. One of the things I've seen, which is very classy is when people have a little car just like theirs placed on the engine. I have not been able to find a 2000-2001 Tiburon anywhere. I would like to know if you would consider making one, to be the first in the industry to do so.

Here are some pictures of my own 2001 Tiburon
**pix**
I would really appreciate it if you considered making a hotwheel of this car.</div>

I think if enough of us send an e-mail to them, we could get a RD Hotwheel. So guys, take a minute out of your busy day to fire off an e-mail to Hotwheels Tech Support: techsupport@mattelwheels.com

You will receive a automated message that they received an e-mail, and then you will receive a form letter back. After they send out enough form letters, they will start to make the hotwheel. The squeeky wheel gets the grease!

thats a great idea, i think we should have a poll on here if we were to do one rd1/2 tiburon and have everyone post their car and we vote on whose car we will send it to have a replica made of, this would be really really cool

Just send your own car. Maybe we can get both. The important thing is that we make alot of noise as a community and get them to realize there's people out here who want this product. Write an e-mail and send a picture or two.

Good idea but I expect you will get a reply saying they have released a Hyundai Tiburon already. I know its a GK but to them it is still a Tiburon. I don't even think they have release it every year since they started in 2004. The only ones I have seen are the black one which was released in stores and the white one which was a give away at SEMA.

So just send and e-mail, collect your reply and know you did your part in getting RDs turned into hotwheels.

It's a pretty bland e-mail which basically tells you that you can't sue them for comming up with the idea to make a miniature replaca of a 2001 tiburon.

So if they do come out with an RD it will probably have some racing decals or something on it. You can erase those with a dremel and the white buffing bits. It would be cool to recreate your own car in miniature.

E-mail sent. Also suggest a 1:24 scale or 1:18th scale. You never know....

Yeah, a bit of bondo, a dremmel, and some touchup paint should make a hotwheel look just like my car. It would be so great to have one. I'd love to make changes to a hotwheel before I make them to my own car.
