For those who remember me...
I started out with a 2002 Elantra that I had for 5 years and put 140k on that I sold to a local kid. Then I built a sr20det 240sx hatch and sold that to fund my 240sx coupe project. Here's pictures because no one ever really reads these things anyway.
The Elantra that I used to have:
Owned that for awhile while I did my sr swap:
I picked up an MR2 at one point while I still had the elantra to beat around in because I've always wanted an MR2, it has the 5sfe:
Then I sold the Elantra because having 3 cars wasn't practical, but I came across a 240sx coupe so I snatched it up since it has 82,174 ORGINAL miles on it. It WAS all stock automatic:
Now it has quite a bit done and growing every day... 5 speed swap in progress as well as 5 lugs already put on.
Then a buddy of mine offered to buy my sr20det hatch so I said fine since I wanted a newer car anyway to just drive around in so I snatched up a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon 5 speed for a nice daily and I love it:
Well I think that's it.

Welcome back. So, since you're joining the forums once again, is it safe to assume you aren't planning to keep it stock? Looking at your history, I don't see it in you.

I would like to say that I plan to keep it stock but I hate the stock ride height and want it lower. I can't do that though unless I can find a truck to pick up as I do use the car as my daily and we do get snow, and if we get too much I don't want to be stuck in my driveway because I'm plowing with my front bumper. I also would love to be able to find Alpine's mp45 supercharger setup to make it a little more fun and use a set of Colt Cams. However, I have alot on my hands with my coupe. I have to finish my 5 lug swap, 5 speed swap, install my AEM EMS and tune it, exhaust, the rest of my control arms and a whole host of other things to get ready to turbocharge the stock motor. So, the Tiburon will get left along as a reliable daily while I go hog wild with my coupe.

Doug! how have you been? what have you done to the elantra so far? I remember last I talked to you, you saying that you wanted to start spraying on it since you got a new daily.

its still outside and I got the kit.. just never finished the install. Last year was busy, to say the least. We deployed a big group to iraq so that sucked alot out of me. Then I senp a little over two months without a day off getting them home. Im sort of debating on if it is what I want to modify. As i sits it would make a great daily for someone. Id love to get an ollldd elantra and swap it. but meh. well see.
