I was wondering what sort of polishing compound or wax (glaze? - if there is such a thing) I can use to get a super high shine. My Shark is a little lackluster right now, and I was wondering what the best way to get a showroom shine is. I've tried some generic polishes, but I want something that really hits hard, and preferably something that lasts a while. The cheaper the better... wink1.gif I'm not going to get a repaint (I'd have to get a body kit before I did that, and it's way to expensive for now), but I do have a lot of time I can spend polishing or waxing it.
Thoughts or suggestions please?
Thanks in advance!

i use turtle wax rubbing compound followed by mothers carnuba wax. takes awhile to do it right, but its worth it in the long run.

^^ don't use rubbing compound unless your finish is dull as shit, it will damage your clear coat and your paint. it should only be used on heavily oxidized vehicals.

Polishing compound will damage your paint and clear coat, but it leaves a nice polish. There shouldn't be a tiburon out there right now that NEEDs rubbing compound unless someone removed the clearcoat with rubbing compound in the past.... or acid rain struck.

Just use a few layers of any wax mang. Just follow directions. i once put it on with a dry rag instead of a damp rag and it looked like ass... but it's forgiving, just put on a new coat. each coat adds luster.

if you TRUELY messed up with wax and you want to get it off, autozone sells wax remover... it's a good way to see what's really underneath the wax.
