After doing ricey things with my tib I wanted to start off with some engine work.
As some of you might remember I've asked a few months back if anyone could help me with shipping over a AEM CAI.
First I thought I was being rude to ask such a thing, but the repsonse I got from you guys were amazing!
I love this community!
Bullfrog helped me out to get it to me.
So once again buddy, thank you so much for making an effort!!
About 3 weeks ago I installed it. But I ripped the original rubber forcing the AEM to enter.
I have a MAP, so I had no use in the cupler that was included an had to fit it into the very tight original hose.
Last week I got a 'new' hose and today I had the time to install it.
So I wanted to share some pics with you guys.
Just checking if anything is airtight
It even matches my power wire for the audiosystem wink1.gif
But what a difference. Def. picks up alot quicker then she used to do and the sound is amazing.
driving 80km/h in 2nd gear and then floor it, I just can say wooow!!!
And one more thing to show you guys
This baby waiting to be installed together with full custom 2.5" piping

I need 4" clearence to be able to enter my garage and we have to many HIGH speedbumps.
Though I can't reach anything with my tibby now..

yuh bud, get all of it on and then go get you a set of lightweight pulleys. i was really suprised how well it makes the car start so much easier now. not to mention the fact over the last two tanks i have gained 2mpg. that 100 dollar total mod will pay for itself off really quick.

Looking good man. That's a nasty 45 degree bend though at the top. If you want i can go look at a junkyard for you and pull a MAP based elbow for you. Its a nice smooth turn. Then if you look for Zman's installed pics when he had his megasquirt you can put a nice shiny piece of pipe to connect to the aem.
Just a though.
Im hoping to get my header on next weekend as well but my welder guy has been sick and just found out he has kidney stones so hes not doing so well. He has internal bleeding from them so hes been pretty weak lately and very lethargic.
Pulleys may be an option down the road. if i do those im going to clean all the oil off that side of the engine bay so it may be a 2 for one deal.

Froggy,
The bend seems more worse then it is actually.
It has the same bend as not connected. I looked carefully before installing it.
Thx for the offer bro!
It seems you're going to be a bit sooner with the headers.
The shop has no spot and upcoming weekend 02.gif So hopefully soon enough. Can't wait!
