i know a bunch of people hate this hood, but i like it, and thats all that matters. heres my first impressions..

it was packed VERY VERY well. wrapped in that foam, two layers of bubble wrap, then a 3mil sheet of plastic, then boxed. it also had the black foam protectors on the hood, and a piece of wood protecting the corners.

the hood is made VERY well. has the stock hood prop thing unlike other hoods, even had the little hood prop arrow. fing02.gif

has all the stock washer nozzle areas for where things snap into. the washer nozzles are NOT drilled thru the hood for people who don't want them like me.

the coolest thing about the entire hood, besides tha fact that they put mesh in the vents; is that there is a REMOVABLE fiberglass piece on either set of vents so you can close off the holes if it was raining bad or whatever, or take them out and open the vents up.

the front fitment was fantastic. there was no adjustable latch so i was SO relieved that it fit perfect.. the sides of the hood are a little bit narrow, but my fenders arent tight, so i can probably move them in about 1/8" to help close gap. my ONLY complaint about the hood is how its a bit narrow, but it doesn't pop up on the sides so im happy.

heres the pics.. i threw in a couple cool non hood engine bay shots too.

heres pics RIGHT out of the box. top side up

heres pics flipped over showing the removable inserts.

heres it installed.

heres my engine bay shots just to throw in.

now, as far as dealing with chaser.. the experience was great.. i ordered hood last thursday, thru paypal. my payment cleared tuesday morning. i called chaser, they shipped it out that afternoon and gave me a tracking number. UPS freight called me yesterday at 3pm and set up a delivery time for today. so ONE weeks time was all it took from paypal, transfer clearing, to the hood being in my hands.

chaser is an AWESOME place to deal with. A+ in my book.

That hood looks straight sexy on there, goes real good with the front end and makes it look more aggressive... Kinda makes me regret not ordering it in CF, but they wanted like $750 for it I think.

another thing is, with the scoop in the front, the opening goes ALL the way to the back, so i can cut a hole in the bottom of hood to either feed air to my header, or my IM.

looks good but i think it just has too many holes in the front. maybe its because there arent corners in it either.

socks car is the most pornographed car on this forum! you take a lot of photos, and i remember you saying you like the different stages. it's funny to compare the old photos to the ones that are new.

now patch up that alien nostrill and let's have at it!

beautiful fitment by the way. shame the company doesn't make any different hoods. if they know tiburons that well and can craft a perfect hood, why not have some more designs? wierd.

by the way, while you're at it, go all the way with the flares man!!! they curve out too much, buy a big can of fiberglass resin and extend the sidewalls of the fenders all the way like a widebody!!! why not?
