I picked up a set of the RSide hood spacers from kSpec. Here are some pics. Just as an FIY the bolts that come with the kit are NOT stainless they are just black oxidized. They will rust. A local hardware store should have these in stainless.

No I didnt need to. They spray a little higher but they do still get everything needed wet. As for under speed movement, you see a little movement (maybe 1/16") in the center when you are above 95. But besides that you need no movement in the hood.

One thing I forgot to mention is that when I first installed them I did it side by side. Then on the passenger side the hood was rubbing on the fender a little. After losening all four screws (dont take them all the way out) I moved the hood around enough that it fit good. The bolt holes in the stock bracket are slightly slotted for fine adjustment.

Wase of money isnt it?! They actually make spacer for this now? You should have used a few washers and saved some money..

Anyways, the tib is one of the only cars ive seen what actually looks good w/hood spacers

Well it is only $24 and since you can see them when the hood is open and closed I think these look a heck of a lot better than a bunch of washers. Washers look like the rice way out. Kinda like duct tape on your body kit on.......

Why do you need these spacers?
Any performance gains?
Is it a rice mod?

What's that to the left of AirRam?

No not a rice mod tongue.gif . Its use is that it breaks the rear seal of the hood allowing all heat from the engine to be forced out of the bay.

Despite what most folks think, these really cool the engine bay out quite a bit. do this and take the seal from the front of the hood out, and you'll be much better off.

I may have to get a set now.

Seal from the front of the hood? I assume you mean that little black seal that goes from one corner light to the other?
