Alright guys, so i spent the last day and a half painting my caliprs, drums, and finishing my led speaker mod.

Here are some pics.

Calipers -

Drums -

Led's - Day Time

Yes i know that my rims have major curb rash on them. Plus they are dirty so that does not really help.

So.. what kind of painting kits did u guys use to do yours?

Any input / opinions are appreciated and welcome....

Thx in Advance

I painted my calipers in red (I have black car).
I dissasembled calipers but didn't unhooked brake lines.
I used high temp spray paint.

If I'll repaint them - I'll probably use brush, it would be easier and faster.

probably this will help you:

I used the brush on multipart paint from Folia Tech. Still looks good after all these years.

Looks nice... looks like you did good work.

To paint mine, I just took off the wheel, and layed down the coats of spraypaint. It either gets on the caliper or on the rotor, in which case it gets burned off either way. I'm too lazy to take the caliper off and paint, and you really can't tell the difference unless you have the wheel off.

Time is money. tongue.gif

i just taped off all the other areas, and brush painted them. Need quite a bit of layers tho. Looks pretty good compared to the old color. I just wish it was more of a yellow than a gold. Oh well, i am happy considering im not an artist and i did it myself smile.gif

if you paint calipers - pads, springs, brake lines, rotors, boots should not been painted. Paint only calipers and brackets.

97Tibby, why did you painted rear drums in red, front calipers in yellow?

I painted my calipers red. I used the brush on kind. It's the only way to go.

You can't really see the calipers that well, but it gives you an idea.
