So I was cruising ebay the other day and found a vendor selling oil caps for our cars. It was cheap enough, so I figured I'd give it a try.

So far I'm pretty happy.

Wont' fit a beta 2 valve cover BTW folks, which, now that I mention it, why don't you have a beta 2 valve cover Tom?

BTW, what did you do to your fuel rail? Tap it and use that fitting for your FPR?

^^ It looks very similar to the HKS oil cap that came with the Beta2 valve cover I bought off you....

Keep in mind folks, BETA 1 valve cover = 1/4 turn cap like mitsu style.

Beta 2 valve cover = screw in cap like Honda.

looks very nice.. very subtle at the same time..

do you recall off the top of your head, what adapter that you used to tap the rail? i'd guess its some type of NPT tap that goes to a screw in barb fitting.

Yeah, it was blue. Both the cover and the cap match really nicely. Now I just have to try and match that blue...lol

I never even paid attention to the cap styles...lol.

Any chance that they would make these in either style?

Ebay oil Cap

The cap fits great. So far it seals great! no leaks at all. The Hyundai performance logo is actually optional. they send it along with the oil cap. I liked it so I stuck it on, but you could go very clean with no logo at all. Jer, know anywhere we can get some decals made up. "RDTiburon" oil cap in the making!!!

I got the cap for about 23.00 shipped. BUT.....you guys are gonna love me! I was so impressed with the cap that I emailed them and they have agreed to do a group buy on these if we want!!!

There are 4 colors to choose from and 2 different styles as well. If there is enough interest, I'll start up a group buy thread on these.

I tapped the end of my rail with an NPT tap (not sure exactly what size) and then used a smaller NPT barbed fitting into that I believe. That then goes over to the FPR on my firewall.

Jer, I just havent gotten around to getting a beta II valve cover. Would be nice, maybe down the road. fing02.gif
