hey everybody i just bought my tib tuesday and joined this forum last night. My car is a '97 fx 5 speed with 129 xxx kms. Car is completely stock and i bought it needing a windshield and rear brakes. It was sitting for a month so it may need wheel bearings also. All power options in the car work which was a big plus to me.I only have one pic as of now that i took with my iphone, will get some more pics up soon.
upcoming plans include getting it on the road, tinting the windows, replacing just the stock air box with a small piece of stainlees tube and cone filter, and installing an aftermarket cd player and my sub.

Car looks descent, no real noticeable rust spots that I can see. Good job on the find. You'll find that this site is full of answers for any question you may have.

going to attempt to get the rear brake pads on today never had rear disks and never had to twist the caliper piston while compressing it either. any tips for this?

get the proper tool. costs roughly 12 bux. goes on a 3/8" ratchet.
don't think i need to get into much more detail basically because you already know about it.
weld school eh? what are you hoping to get into?

While I will reccoment the tool over anything else, at the same time I was using one and it got stuck in the caliper because of the wierd way my extension was. I wasn't able to get the tool in anymore so I used needle nose pliars to spin the piston.
Just saying, if you wanna do it the cheap way you can just use a pair of needle nose you have sitting around, but you risk smacking knuckles when it comes out of the groove lol.
