My V6 Build
Ok quick catchup here, I'm building my car to be a sound quality competition car.
Time to make you power heads crap your pants, today I added 13kg of weight to the car, using 36 square foot of sound deadening on the doors.
<div align='center'>
So out with the plastic door cover
2 Layers on the outside skin
and another 2 on the inside</div>
The doors now shut with such a nice clunk now like firm and solid smile.gif
So next I took the inside of the car apart to run some wiring
<div align='center'> </div>
The signal wire goes from the speaker locations in the doors and a pillars through the dash to the center console
<div align='center'> </div>
Then down the center console towards the back of the car.
<div align='center'> </div>
Under the back seat secured nicely
<div align='center'> </div>
Then came the utter pig of a job the 2awg power wire in from the engine bay through the wheel arch in through a gromit, through the original wiring box down the side of the car and under the back seat like the signal wire.

So stripped the car down again
<div align='center'> </div>
and popped the earth cable in, protecting it where it may get chaffed by metal parts.
<div align='center'> </div>
And yes 36 square foot / 13Kg more sound deadening went in
<div align='center'> </div>
And of course finished it off by carpeting the boot as this may be seen in the future.
<div align='center'>
</div>
you may spot what I've done to the car today with the aid of these handy before and after pictures
<div align='center'> </div>
A Pillar Builds are now ready to trim..

Door Pods are trimmed and complete

cf? more money than I've got, it's a v6, there's plenty of power to take a couple of kg extra weight, and let's face it, I'm not a skinny bloke wink.gif
