My Beta 2 Valve Cover
Finally got it painted, installed, and had pictures taken. Some are at night because my camera malfunctioned and I had to retake them
I did something a little different. The Cam cover is the same Graphite I did my headlights and I did the wire cover in the dark forest of my car. Rather than masking off the Crooked "H" and the "DOHC" I painted them with a brush with the same graphite as the cam cover.
As I did not care for the chrome oil cap that Kspec sells. I picked up a nice all aluminum one for a nissan 240sx (Screw in style) that fits perfectly and only cost me ten bucks with the shipping from Ebay.
Yes, I know my engine compartment is not exactly clean, winter was harsh on it and I do not have time to spend an afternoon scrubbing it just yet.
Here is the oil cap. You can also see the painted Crooked "H" Better here.

Ayup.. into the Beta 2 cover anyway. The Non-Evo Mitsubishi Lancer caps with the prong style twist fitting will also work on the beta 1 cover. I know, I have one sitting on my desk right now.. had it on for almost a year with no problems. It actually seemed to fit BETTER than the stock cap. It cranked down tighter.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (turbo93mx6)</div><div class='quotemain'>so are these things made out of plastic or metal..I know the spark plug cover is plastic..looking good Chris</div>
All plastic.. very heavy too.
Something I did notice in a real difference between the Beta 1 and beta 2 covers. I think the Beta 2 cover has better oil vapor control. Both Cam covers have a sheet metal sheild between the cams and the vents used to disperse oil vapors, the one on the Beta 2 is MUCH larger and covers a whole lot more of the underside of the cover.

HOT, man, that's all I need to say. I love your colour choice too. Good job.
Those pics need to be lightened up a bit though. Might just be me though.
