Hello all,
None of you prolly remember that my tib caught fire shortly after boosting it not too long ago and i just wanted to show that its running again. Its got a few bugs to work like putting on another slim fan, tuning the safc, and a few leaks etc but i drove it around for a few minutes today and its alive and well woohoo. You can notice some black spots and burn areas around the bay in these pics, fire sucks but its all good now. Once again its not completely finished but im goin in early tomorrow an getting alot done! laugh.gif

Awesome man, I'm soo getting excited for my install. Just waiting on exhaust.

That looks good for being on fire though. I'll assume it started just above the IM where that nasty black spot is. I really like the red piping too.

Thanks guys, and yes it started to near that black spot above the intake, either an injector or something electrical near there. Gonna tie up the loose ends tomorrow and set the boost at 5 psi until i get new injectors laugh.gif

Well, we thought the fire was from a bad injector in that corner, but it may be something electrical...yet ive never touched anything over there electric wise...so im gonna check the old injectors monday.

Also, i definitely wasnt giving up on the tib, i love that car and by the time i get done with it its gonna be one freakin fast tib, just need more money hehe.

Did some more work today, found a few vacuum leaks and coolant line leaks i took care of and it ran 10 times better than the first drive friday. Its pushing too much boost for the stock injectors so monday i either gotta lower the boost or see if i can get some 340cc injectors again. All that said and not being tuned it wasnt haulin ass or anything but its doin good, itll be screaming down the strip soon enough.

Thanks for all the replies. laugh.gif

:edit: Oh and redz i had all the turbo piping powder coated red and the exhaust manifold and downpipe powdercoated black, we'll see how those hold up... wink1.gif
