Some people also put the battery in the trunk/hatch to help even out the front/back weight distrubution.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (OdessitPashka @ May 8 2005, 07:25 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>Why would you want to have more downforce on your rear while your front wheels are the one's that need to be pushed more to the ground?
<div align='right'><{POST_SNAPBACK}></div></div>

why WOULD'NT you?

like i said, downforce anywhere is good (at high speed!)

unless you're drifting, you should wanna' take all the control you can get when going straight really fast

Downforce on rear tires means that they will be pressed to the ground more, resulting in lifting the front more, resultint in less traction....

Yeah, wouldn't significant downforce just on the rear wheels actually hurt performance? You're taking some weight off the front, meaning less traction in a FWD vehicle.

I've seen bigger wings than that on the Civics in my neighborhood. tongue.gif

Seriously, there are some carbon fiber / aluminum monstrosities around here.

And why is it that everyone on that site removes the shift boot? Whereas people here upgrade to nicer boots. I don't get it. Seeing inside that area is kind of ugly.

If you're worried about quarter mile times, it's better not to have the wing.
