Got it done this morning. Definitely louder than I am used to, but exactly what I wanted, you only hear her GROWL on acceleration, but my favorite has to be on startup. when she is idling, it's just a nice deep purr!
This is the stock setup with a $15 tip to cover the rusted pipe (rust really attacked my girl this year).
During the install...
Evo X that was getting done at the same time
And here is the final product.

Thanks guys, little known fact about the Santa Fe's... they come with a cold in intake stock, I deleted that and put in the Short Ram Intake as my first engine mod. The stock filter box and resonator were behind the battery, but the hose went down and under the battery, then into the bumper, then back up beside the battery and finally out into the right fender wall. I'm going to get a short video clip tomorrow and post it up.

they did a real top job. looks awesome! you should put in those chrome or black off roading bars in the front. not that it's necessary unless you're in Tanzania, but it just looks awesome. i've seen a few ssangyangs in europe with them. im sure they have them for the santa fe.
great pics by the way.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (mwood @ May 17 2009, 10:49 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>oh yeah you want to put something on those welds to help prevent rust, seeing your in Canada...</div>
Already done, the pipes were painted from the tips back by the shop right after the welding was done. I'll be getting under there laster this year and cleaning up alot of the rust. Best thing about living here is that the Rust paint is in abundance and usually only $5 a can for the flat black stuff.
As for putting the chrome bars... nope. I have the Hyundai Mobis Sport bumper that I had shipped over from Korea in 2005 (3 months after I bought her). My opinion is that this ride will NEVER off-road so there is no need for the big push bar, the new bumper gives it more than enough of an aggressive look.
